Created in 1957, the Hotel School of Lisboa is a reference in vocational education for the tourism sector.
 

Now with a privileged location in the heart of Lisbon, (neighbourhood of Campo de Ourique), in a renovated building that was a palace at the beginning of the century, the building was transformed into an industrial school during the twenties and combines both tradition and modernity.
 

Since October 2010, the School has also next door an application hotel – Hotel da Estrela. In this hotel, concessioned to an important Portuguese Hospitality Chain – Grupo Lágrimas - which is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World , students have the  opportunity to practice in a real work life context in a very demanding environment.
 

With a capacity of 500 students, the infra-structure includes: 5 industrial kitchens, 1 pastry kitchen, 1 application restaurant, 1 application bar, 1 technical auditorium, 1 wine-tasting laboratory, 1 auditorium with 150 seats and 15 classrooms.
 

The first edition of the Culinary Arts programme started in this School last year with 22 students.
