The partnership with this Swiss school is consistent with the investment on high quality training for the development of our country Hospitality and Tourism sector and comprehends: curriculum design, revision of facilities design, administrative & marketing systems, pedagogical training of school teachers, news ways of learning and overall training pedagogical methodology.

Scope of strategic partnership
 

The strategic partnership of EHL with the Turismo de Portugal Schools can be summarized in 5 keys dimensions:

• Consulting - Refferent to pedagogical issues, administrative and marketing procedures, infra-structures and equipments;
• Curricula Design - The 11 programmes for young students where developed in partnership with EHL, portraying the needs of the tourism market in the next 10 years, as well as the world’s hospitality best practices  without forsaking the Portuguese market and culture;
• Faculty training (QLF - qualified learning facilitator) - Taking into consideration the key goal of empowering the student to be the center of his training, faculty go into a specific training with the purpose of transforming them into learning facilitators, and reviewing and acquiring new and the most recent teaching methodologies;
• Academic audits - Portrait periodical 2 or 3 day visits in each school, during which the auditors visit the facilities, interview and present special topics to students, meet with faculty and school management, and audit classes. In the end EHL elaborates a constructive evaluation report with improvement recommendations, to be incorporated in the schools action plans;
• Executive education - EHL, through its consultancy area LHC, has designed a variety of hospitality management programmes to keep the industry organizations competitive. These programmes are targeted at progressive middle and senior executives and tackle priority issues in the business environment through various streams: Leadership & Management; Finance; Marketing; Operations; Human Resources; and Strategy. Each semester, these programmes divided in 3 days modules, are attended by our faculty and management.
   

Additionaly, students of 13 certified schools that started their training before February of 2011, obtain a joint certificate of Turismo de Portugal I.P. and Ecole Hôteliére de Lausanne, as better explained in this executive note.

All students of Turismo de Portugal Schools may apply to these schools in order to proceed their studies, taking part on superior education programmes. Although applications are assessed case-by-case, the partnership with Ecole hôteliére de Lausanne works as a facilitator in the process.  Should level IV students be accepted in these schools, request for subject equivalences may be requested.
