The School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto has been operating since 1969 and is a reference since the beginning, in the Training for Hospitality and Tourism Sector.

The school offers courses aimed at meeting the needs of the Tourism Sector, it initiated what would be its most visible role in the training of human resources, the Management and Hotel Technique Course, inspired and formatted in what was considered the best in the World.

Nowadays, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto, with new facilities since 2010- the former School of Decorative Arts of Soares dos Reis- has all the conditions for the highly demanding future and to continue forming thousands of professionals in the areas of the Initial and Continuous Formations.

It currently offers a range of Technological Specialization Courses that respond to the enormous challenges proposed by companies in the sector for our country, from Accommodation, Restaurant / Bar, Cooking/Culinary Arts, Pastry, Tourism, Cultural and Heritage Tourism and courses of Hotel management and Kitchen totally taught in English language, thus offering the possibility to receive students from any part of the world.



These offers are concerned with the training of young people with higher academic qualifications who want to integrate the labour market in an intensive, fast, deep and specialized way.

But not only the new talents are formed in this School, which continues to train professionals throughout the Northern Region in the most diverse areas transversal to the Tourism activity and to meet the permanent need for evolution and acquisition of learning and knowledge.

With the growth of Tourism in Portugal, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto also offers a wide range of training to reconvert professionals to the professions related to the sector.
