Alumni of Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril
I'm from Fundão and enrolled at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril in 2012 on the Hotel, Restaurant and Beverage Management course, level 5.
I consider my decision to move to Estoril one of the best I've ever made, personally and professionally.
I underwent significant personal and professional growth during my tenure at the institution, which I believe set me on a trajectory that would ultimately shape my career.
Throughout my time at the school, I met fantastic professionals whom I still follow today, professionals who share the same interest and taste for hospitality.
I recall the practical classes with great clarity, as well as the discipline that was maintained. I have retained all the studied theory, and I have found this information to be extremely useful over the years. An internship in Vilamoura was an opportunity that helped me to understand the working world.
Through school, I met VidaEdu, a company I applied for an internship in England, where I've lived since 2014. Many doors have opened since then. I started my professional career in a Michelin-starred restaurant, which opened many other opportunities.
I also worked at the Four Seasons Hotel, one of the best companies to work for and the perfect choice for anyone pursuing a career in hospitality.
Despite the distance, I met colleagues who had also attended Escolas de Turismo de Portugal and it was great to share ideas and memories.
I still live in England as a Shift Manager in a Regional Hotel and Restaurant, a family business, and in the Management of Holiday Home Lettings on the Norfolk coast.
I'm very grateful for all the support and learning I received at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril.
