New Benefits
Accommodation support
This assistance is provided monthly and can cover up to 50% of the Social Assistance Index (50% IAS = €268.86 in 2026). It is awarded based on the actual amount paid for housing and is intended for students who:
- Live more than 50 km from the school; or
- Live within 50 km but do not have access to transportation that is compatible with the course schedule.
This support does not apply to international students without long-term resident status, unless exceptional authorization is granted.
This measure applies to all students—both new and continuing students.
Submitting an Application for Accommodation Support
The application for accommodation support is submitted via the School Management Platform, reviewed by the school where the student is enrolled, and requires the upload of the following documents:
- Proof of residence;
- Proof of housing costs;
- Justification of the incompatibility of transportation with the training schedule.
Free meals
Free meals are provided to all students, ensuring a varied and healthy diet, relieving families of this financial burden, and enhancing the practical component of hospitality schools, where quality meals are an integral part of vocational training.

Admission Criteria
- Holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification;
- Holders of a technological specialisation diploma or a higher education degree or diploma who wish to retrain;
- Attending an education or training course or a secondary-level RVCC process.
Application process
The entire application process for the Technological Specialisation Courses of the Tourism Schools of Portugal network will take place on an online platform and applicants must identify up to 3 options per Course/School and in order of preference.
The application is FREE
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of a selection interview in which the aim is to explore the candidates' educational background and their experiences and expectations.
Interviews will be held in person or using an online platform, on a date and time previously arranged and communicated to the candidates.
Note: Candidates will be ranked according to their final grade
