He has extensive experience in hotels and restaurants in mainland Portugal, Madeira, Spain, and England. In 2007, he became the Executive Chef at the Largo do Paço Restaurant, of the Casa da Calçada Hotel in Amarante, where he won a Michelin Star in 2009 and 2010.
At The Yeatman, he has been responsible for the entire gastronomic offering of the hotel and the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant since 2011. He was awarded a second Michelin Star in 2017, and both stars have been renewed since then. Under his leadership, The Yeatman’s restaurant has been recognized with various distinctions, also receiving several individual awards.
He recently took on a new challenge with the Mira Restaurant, at WoW - World of Wine, the Best Cultural Quarter, also in Vila Nova de Gaia, offering a more relaxed yet rigorous vision of Fine Dining.
