Sara Nunes was born in 1983, originally from Alentejo, and currently resides between Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira. She was a construction designer, but the financial crisis opened the way for her to embrace one of her great passions, the world of cooking.

She attended the Culinary Arts at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Vila Real de Santo António between 2009 and 2011, and she considers that the learning experience was very positive, and the method was almost individualized. Much of the knowledge she acquired has remained in her memory, as have the teachers, who she describes as always very professional. After completing the training, she had the opportunity to grow professionally alongside one of the teachers.

During her career, she has worked in international cuisine hotels and regional cuisine restaurants based on the Mediterranean diet. She is Chef de Cuisine at Quinta do Marco Rural Hotel in Tavira, where she has been working for 6 years. She has dedicated herself to developing traditional Algarve cuisine, giving it a "personal and modern touch".
