From Tradition to Contemporaneity: Confraria da Rabanada Promotes Unique Lecture in Porto

In the heart of the city of Porto, tradition and modernity come together in a celebration of flavour. The Confraria Gastronómica da Rabanada is organising the lecture ‘Da Tradição ao Contemporâneo’, an event that promises to explore the many facets of one of the most iconic sweets in Portuguese culture: the rabanada.

The Luís Garcia Contente auditorium at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto will host on December 10 from 10.30am to 1pm, with the presence of experts and leading figures in gastronomy. Between stories of recipes handed down from generation to generation and innovative interpretations, the event is seen as a bridge between the past and the future.

With the support of Turismo de Portugal, in particular the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto, the meeting promises to inspire both professionals in the field and lovers of good food. After all, as the Portuguese know well, there are traditions that never go out of fashion, but which gain new life when reinterpreted creatively.
