On 13 November, between 9am and 1pm, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto will open its doors to host the Producers' Open Day, a pioneering initiative promoted by the Grow Life project. This is a unique opportunity for consumers and producers to get closer, in an event that aims not only to publicise sustainable and regional agricultural practices, but also to make the public aware of the importance of conscious and healthy food choices.
The Grow Life project was born with a clear purpose: to promote environmental sustainability and encourage the consumption of organic products, valuing the work of small producers and encouraging agricultural practices that respect the balance of the ecosystem. This is a mission shared by School of Hospitality and Tourism of Porto, which appears here as a strategic partner, putting its experience and space at the service of a greater cause. With this event, the school reinforces its commitment to the community, providing local producers with a platform to exhibit and commercialise their products, while the public is invited to reflect on the impacts of their food choices.
During the initiative, visitors will be able to explore a display of organic products - available for purchase - and take part in an open conversation with the producers, where themes such as sustainability and responsible consumption will be highlighted. The programme also includes a special show cooking event, where innovative recipes using organic ingredients will be presented, showing how healthy food can be tasty and affordable.
This is an open invitation to the whole community. In a moment of sharing and learning, Grow Life promises an enriching experience, bringing together those who produce and those who consume and laying the foundations for a more conscious and sustainable future.
