Winner of the Hospitality Education Awards - Best Educational Project (2021)
The project aimed to create a Live Science Club at Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Vila Real de Santo António, with the capacity to develop activities in Escolas de Hotelaria e Turismo of Algarve (Vila Real de Santo António, Faro and Portimão).
It included 5 activities, including the creation of MED_LAB - a laboratory for activities and experiments associated with the Mediterranean Diet.
Activity 1
Create the MED_LAB - Laboratory for activities and experiences associated with the Mediterranean Diet.
Create a physical space, identified and equipped to support the development of activities, promoting the concept of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Activity 2
Development of an educational game associated with the cookery workshops
The educational game is intended to be interactive and include the relationship between the ingredients that go best together to make a healthy dish associated with Mediterranean gastronomy.
Activity 3
Activities associated with the Mediterranean Diet, aimed at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycles.
At the end of the cookery workshops, students will have learned about the basics of healthy eating and Mediterranean cuisine.

Development of an innovative recipe based on the Algarve's endogenous products
