The 11 Hotel School is one of the most important structures at the Setúbal School.
It is the innovation laboratory and space for practical classes in the hospitality and accommodation area.
Open to the public, the 24-room hotel and breakfast room guarantee students’ training and practical learning in a real-life context, focusing on the customer and providing an unforgettable experience and stay.
As an application hotel, it is also a stage to acquire innovative skills, boosted by various partnerships established with regional stakeholders and public entities, and by the school's participation in the Future Labs Hotel project with NEST - Tourism Innovation Centre.
Intending to be a benchmark in innovation and sustainability, the 11 Hotel School has taken on the role of an experimentation laboratory, where startups can test innovative projects that are unique in the country, in the areas of digitalisation, sustainability, and accessibility, so that they can then be disseminated and contribute to innovation in the tourism sector in Portugal.
As an Eco-School, the alignment with the principles of sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as with the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, underpins all aspects of training.
Housed in the former 11th Army Headquarters and decorated with a military theme, the hotel overlooks the Sado Estuary benefiting from its proximity to the Serra da Arrábida and Setúbal's historic center.
