In line with the Turismo de Portugal network of schools, the mission of Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Vila Real de Santo António is to develop the training and education of tourism human resources in its coverage area, namely in the eastern Algarve (Tavira, Vila Real de Santo António, Castro Marim and Alcoutim) and the lower Guadiana cross-border region, which includes the municipalities of Baixo Alentejo, namely Barrancos, Moura, Serpa, and Mértola.
