Portugal aims to assert itself as the most sustainable destination in the world and, to achieve this aim, the area of training - taking the pillars of sustainability as a reference - has sought to develop pedagogical practices that provide more knowledge in this area.

In addition to implementing good practices in several pioneering projects, it has established partnerships and incorporated into its commitment agenda parameters that allow it to contribute to making this positioning increasingly a reality.

In the spotlight

Project Green Day

Since 2014, as part of World Tree Day, the Turismo de Portugal Schools Environmental Meeting has been held.

Every year, each school in Turismo de Portugal's network of 12 schools organises this event and plans environmental and social activities that will be carried out by the other 11 schools to celebrate “Dia Verde”.

This is the sustainability event that brings together the largest number of students from different parts of the country in one place every year.
