Alumni of Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Oeste
I come from a family in the restaurant industry, so I've known for as long as I can remember that I wanted to study at a Turismo de Portugal school. I've always admired the professionalism and rigour these schools offer.
I'm so grateful that the opening of the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Oeste meant I could complete my entire academic career near home! I started my career with the Level 4 Cookery and Pastry Techniques course in Caldas da Rainha and finished it in 2012 with the Pastry Management and Production course at the Óbidos centre.
After four and a half years of training and three amazing internships in Gerês, Madeira, and Cascais, I can say that both courses have given me all the essential skills and tools I need to enter the labour market in leading restaurants and hotels.
It's been 11 wonderful years since I started as an Executive Chef for a hotel group in Óbidos with three restaurant outlets. I'm also a Trainer and Coordinator for the Management, Production and Pastry course at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Oeste, which I absolutely love!
