Pedagogical and Organic Vegetable Garden

An in-house project run by the Kitchen Management and Production students, year after year. All the food grown can be used in practical classes.

Food Waste Committee

A committee that aims to assess good practices and strategies to be adopted in the school to manage food waste.

Project ALFA-BIO

Development of an innovative F&B product using endogenous, seasonal, and organic products, in this case, carob. Cooperation between the academy and the local business community, with the possibility of commercialising the products created.

Tourism Trade Show

An annual event organised by the final-year students of the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve.

EHTApreneur

Encouraging students to see EHTA as a company and to develop integrated work within that "company".

Talent Spot

Development of interpersonal and career management skills, promoting integration, and personal and professional success. The aim is to enhance individual capacities to deal with present and future adversities/opportunities. We also offer Emotional and Psycho-pedagogical Support through a psychologist.

OMT certification in all level V courses

Courses in Kitchen Management and Production, Catering and Beverage Management, and Tourism Management with OMT Certification.

Solidarity Tea

Visit to a social institution (seniors) which usually includes a snack made by the School and served by our Restaurant/Bar students. Promotes relationships of social solidarity and social awareness between EHTA students and the surrounding community.

Cocktail Challenge

Bar competition, with the students' creations. It provides students with more knowledge in the Bar area, promoting healthy competition between students from the three Turismo de Portugal Algarve schools.

D´alma e Coração

Tourist Day

Accommodation course activity, where students can experience a hotel stay as customers. Organising a stay (check-in, overnight stay, activity, breakfast, check-out) of a group of final-year students.
