Recipients

  • Citizens of the European Union (EU);
  • Students who do not have European citizenship, residing in Portugal (with a residence permit);
  • Adults aged 18 or over.

New Benefits

Accommodation support

This support is monthly and can reach up to 50% of the Social Support Index (IAS), being allocated according to the amount actually paid for accommodation and is intended for students who:

  • Live more than 50 km from the school; or
  • Live less than 50 km away but do not have transportation compatible with the training schedule.

The support does not apply to foreign students without long-term resident status, except in exceptional cases.

The measure covers continuing students from previous years, new students already enrolled in the first phase, ended on July 18, 2025, and those who enroll in the current second phase.

Request for support for accommodation costs

The request for support must be addressed to the schools where the students are enrolled, and the following must be submitted:

  • Proof of residence;
  • Proof of accommodation costs;
  • Justification of the incompatibility of transportation with the training schedule.

Free meals

Free meals for all students, ensuring a varied and healthy diet, relieving families of this burden, and enhancing the practical component of hospitality schools, where quality food is an integral part of professional training.

Admission Criteria

  • Holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification;
  • Holders of a technological specialisation diploma or a higher education degree or diploma who wish to retrain;
  • Attending an education or training course or a secondary-level RVCC process.

Application process

The entire application process for the Technological Specialisation Courses of the Tourism Schools of Portugal network will take place on an online platform and applicants must identify up to 3 options per Course/School and in order of preference.

The application is FREE

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a selection interview in which the aim is to explore the candidates' educational background and their experiences and expectations.

Interviews will be held in person or using an online platform, on a date and time previously arranged and communicated to the candidates.

Note: Candidates will be ranked according to their final grade

Applications: April 1st to July 18th, 2025

Interviews: April 1st to July 21st, 2025

Initial Placements: July 24, 2025

Registration: July 25-29, 2025

Final Placings 1st Phase: July 31, 2025

2nd Phase

Applications: August 1st to September 9th, 2025

Interviews: August 1st to September 11th, 2025

Initial Placements: September 12, 2025

Registration: September 13-15, 2025
