Sara Nunes was born in 1983 and, with Alentejo roots, lives between Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira.

She began her professional career as a civil construction draftswoman. However, following the financial crisis, she redefined her path and chose to pursue one of her greatest passions: the culinary world.

Between 2009 and 2011, she attended the Culinary Management and Production course at the EHTVRSA, an experience she describes as highly enriching. She highlights the close, almost personalized teaching approach, as well as the strong professionalism of the trainers, whose knowledge and influence remain with her to this day. After completing her studies, she also had the opportunity to grow professionally alongside one of her former instructors.

Throughout her career, she has worked in hotels focused on international cuisine, as well as in restaurants dedicated to regional gastronomy rooted in the Mediterranean diet, developing a solid and versatile culinary identity.

She is currently the Head Chef at the Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco, where she has been working for around six years. She has been dedicated to elevating traditional Algarve cuisine, reinterpreting it with a personal and contemporary touch.

In addition to her professional career, she is also a trainer and technical advisor at the EHTVRSA, actively contributing to the education of new generations of professionals and to the development of the sector.
